Dear Visitor,
You will find a friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the converted farmhouse, Plas-y-Ffynnon Bed and Breakfast.
It has some of the best views in Breconshire, into the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Looking at the peaks of Pen-y-Fan and Corndu from the conservatory you just can’t wait to get out amongst them!
The B&B is a typical stone built farmhouse in the quiet village of Battle, and just 2 miles (3km) from Brecon.
The spacious rooms are all well appointed and comfortable, with TV, hairdryers, tea and coffee making etc, and most have spectacular views of the Beacons.
It is ideally located for outdoor activities including walking, mountain biking, canoeing, horse riding and many more. We have a good stock of local maps and bike trail guides, and a great drying room for all your kit.
There is a large lounge and dining area for guests, and breakfast time is very flexible for those who want to get out on the hills early, or for those who prefer a more leisurely start to the morning.
The food served is always good quality, produced locally, and organic where possible. Most of our kitchen waste is recycled (mainly for the kitchen garden), also all plastic and paper waste.
The garden is wild-life friendly, with nesting boxes, bird feeders (greater spotted woodpeckers visit) and a large wild-life pond
There is a large patio area for guests to enjoy in the summer months, and the conservatory area provides a great place to sit on cooler evenings to watch the sun go down.
Advice on booking activities, and the best places to wine and dine in the area, is always available.
The championship golf course of Cradoc is next door (more information on the golf page). Golf packages for 2 or 3 days can be arranged, taking in Cradoc and other courses in the area. Good courses with great scenery!
